I have had my 240 Vert for many years and the top never leaked. Now that I am about to sell it, the top started leaking. Water is leaking and getting on the area under the back seat and on the floor in front of the back seat. My first picture I was wondering if the rear window is supposed to attached to the fabric somehow. I did not see any glue, but saw other pictures when there was no gap.

My second picture is where I see the water dripping down when it rains.

My third picture is that of this fabric that has denigrated. Was this some kind of water proofing?

For the 4th picture, there is some water is getting behind the seat with the little pouch back there.

The fifth picture show where it leaked onto the floor. This started on just the driver side, but now is on the passenger side too.

Thanks for any help. I don't know a lot about convertible tops and not a lot of information out there for 240s Verts.

That looks almost 100% identical to the issues I had with my 92 vert when I first got it. I replaced the top (HUGE job) and the leak was resolved, but it's really the only solution.

Where are you located?

I am near Atlanta. I have another solution.....I might install some drain holes! A new top is probably half the value of the car right now. It is low miles though.

Probably right... I'd leave that "modification" for the new owner. :)

I have a couple clients keeping an eye out for a vert, so let me know when you list it.

What do you think I can get for it? It has less than 150K miles, I am the 2nd owner (technically the 3rd, but got it from my mom), also had oil changed every 3K miles or 6 months. The was replaced several years ago, so in pretty decent shape besides leaking. It is black with grey interior. It has some dings here and there, but overall pretty good shape. No rust for frame rails or underneath. I am going to clean up that surface rust on the floor before I install a nice carpet set. The knock sensor was replaced not too long ago, fresh tranny fluid, a new crankshaft seal, thermostat, cap and radiator.

Hard to say, I've owned three, from mint to fair condition.

The best way to find out what it's worth is to list it. Sellers hate to hear this, but a car is worth exactly what you just finished selling it for.

That is the truth! I recently sold my 1993 240SX coupe. It was ugly as sin and was not perfect by any means. I was asking $3900 for it. I listed it high, since I know most people will low-ball you. I got a ton of sub-1000 offers. I actually sold it for exactly how much I wanted to get out of it for $3000. LOL One guy said if I got what I was asking for it, he would bust his nuts open with a hammer!

I still have a Maxima and Q45 even after I get rid of the S13s. Though I am probably going to sell the Maxima too.

How do you like your LS460? I was really considering getting one, but really hard to find one that maintained properly at a good price around here. I ended up getting manual Buick Regal. It is a factory flex-fuel vehicle and can put down over 400 ft/lbs to the wheels with a E47 tune.
