Putting a '92 240SX Convertible back together. The plastic clips on the glass rail are broken. Does anyone know of an aftermarket manufacturer of the clips or a replacement source? Local dealer wants $283.00 for the entire window assembly. Any suggestions will be much appreciated!

Thanks for your query! At the base of the glass is a metal plate, part number "A66 7016 A". There are three studs with phenolic pieces attached to them. Two appear to ride in the guide rail, with the third one attached to the lifting rod. All three phenolic pieces are broken and need to be replaced. Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

You're best bet is just to replace the whole plate. I believe the guides are integrated into the plate, so they sell it as a unit. $53 was what I was quoted from Courtesy Nissan in Texas.
The studs you're talking about are plastic clips that attach to the window in three places, then there are two guides on the inside of the plate that ride in the rails, and there is a final stud that the motor assembly attaches to.
