I doubt the convertibles were sold with the Bose units. When I purchased mine, it was off the lot (not ordered). Not a 100% sure; but, I believe the Bose unit is only compatible with their (Bose) speakers. The convertibles were built in Southern California by ASC Corp. Nissan shipped over base slicktop 92's for them to be converted. Thus, they shipped over the least expensive models. Even at that, the convertibles had a sticker price of nearly $47,000 in 1993. There was no ordering or specifying your car. It was simply what was on the lot. Nissan's timing was unfortunate. It was right around the first Gulf War. Price of crude had spiked. Dealers were being forced to take the 300ZX's. Nissan demanded that for every 100 Altimas or Sentras that the dealers whated, the dealers had to take 2 300ZX's.
Anyway, I never looked at a brochure or option list. I was just driving by a dealership and saw it parked out front, and bought it 30 minutes later after a 2 mile test drive.
The radio was a Clarion. Pulled mine out some 12 years ago. Used to have to ferry one of the kids across 300 miles of 2 lane to drop them off for a visit at the Grandparents in the summer. They didn't like not having a CD Player for their 200-300 CD's on the drive over.
Just took a while to pull it out and take a photo.
