Hello fellow vert drivers...

I was just wondering what everyone was getting in terms of MPG with their G37 convertible...

It's rated at 17mpg city and 25mpg highway.

I'm doing mostly city driving and I can barely get 15mpg...

Even when I make fairly short (30-45 minutes) trips on the highway, it hasn't helped too much and keeps me right around 15mpg...

The only time I noticed a significant change in mpg was when I drove straight from Phoenix to Los Angeles and back, which was about 400 miles each way. I calculated that I was getting between 23-24 mpg on those two trips.

I wouldn't say I'm a lead-foot, but I do love to drive the car hard from time to time...

What are you guys getting?

It would be great to hear some of your experiences with your gas mileage!

My daily commute is <4 miles and my spirited driving produces ~13 MPG

A few round trips to the beach house this summer yielded 22 MPG for all highway driving.

VQ is known for that. I always get slightly lower than EPA city mileage on my VQ35DE.

Yeah, mileage is fairly pitiful. My highway driving is often stop-and-go, so I'm averaging 18MPG mixed.

Heh, I haven't done much highway except for a 10 mile jaunt to and from the train station. My mileage is around 15-16 City on premium fuel.

I have had mine almost 4 months, it just rolled over 6,000. I drive 50 miles a day, 75% freeway at 75+ (top down) and always get 21-23 mpg. During the first 1,500 miles I got 17-19 mpg, then it gradually improved.

Be patient, and check tire pressure regularly!

Update: Just returned from a 600 mile trip to Vegas and back, got 25.2 mpg and that was doing 80 to 90+

I barely have 1200 miles on my 2 month old convertible G37 and do mostly city driving. I am averaging 17 MPG which is a lot better my last car, a Jag S type r used to give me (14 MPG). I love the ride, and to drive with the top down is pure joy. I only use Unocal Premium gas.

The VQ37 should do better after it's fully broken in and the computer has "learned" everything......I'm around 22-25 doing 80+ on the highway. My G35 gets about the same mpg as well

hehe you can be happy with that MPG.

I am living in Europe and i recently got a G37 convertible (europe version) and it take 24l/100Km (9.8 MPG) city, on heavy trafic, and 9.8l/100Km (24 MPG) highway, at 130-160 Km/h (80-100 mph)

BTW! gas is way more expensive here.1.4 USD/liter (5.6 USD/galon)

anyway, this MPG is sky high comparing with a BMW 320d (diesel) that take 7l/100 Km (33 MPG) city and 5l/100Km (47 MPG) highway

The G37 luck's awsome, it drive's great, is way more powerful than most of the other car's on the road (most of them diesel) but the mileage sucks...

I just got back from a road trip to Newport Beach, CA.

I went from Newport to Scottsdale, AZ in 4 hours 56 minutes (new record for me!) I didn't stop once, not even for food or gas...

so 386 miles later...

gas mileage was 24.2 MPG

not too bad considering I was generally doing 85-95 for quite a bit of the haul...

Around town I average 15-17 mpg or so with only limited highway driving. On a highway trip this past weekend to Atlantic City - 80 mph when traffic would allow with the roof up - I averaged just under 25 mpg. Highway performance is fine - hard acceleration and stop and go around town kill mileage. For reference, our EX35 on a similar trip averaged 22 mpg.
