and please no smart a** replies, have some courtesey

A vert is a coupe with no roof. So it lacks structure. In order to get that back is pretty much a full cage. The chasis will flex alot more otherwise.

if there hadn't been EXTENSIVE coverage of this topic, I wouldn't make any smart a** comments, buuuuuut since there has been....

Theres a search option for a reason. Its even powered by Google so if it can't find it, its not out there. You should try it some time and see what it knows... might just answer your question before you ask it.

Meh feels about the same to me. Little more understeer is all i really notice. My hatch just feels a little lighter on its toes.

No, it won't handle the same a hatch or coupe. It's slightly heavier and has lost some structural rigidity as a result of losing the roof.

HOWEVER

You can still do it. There are quite a few out there that drift verts. Despite being convertibles, they are not as loose as a lot of people make them out to be.

I slide mine around every now and then, it feels fine, not sure of the long term damage to it, but I don't think it's too bad.

manaul swap, lsd, and stock suspension so far. Has a good amount of body roll though. i was doing better than a couple fastbacks last winter.

Well actually it's NOT JDM TYTE as the Vert was mostly produced in the US only (abeit the 600 or so REAL JDM Verts, but they have a different conversion company - Autech). So .. That being said, you'll be more USDM TYTE than JDM TYTE.

Maybe I'm looking at it wrong but the Japanese spec makes the ASC look like a hack job. Is the ASC reinforcements in addition to the Japanese installed supports?

What you see are the support additions done by Nissan BEFORE it went to ASC and what ASC installed afterwards. Hence why the car actually weighs more sans the roof. There are a few additions you can do to help stiffen the chassis without a full cage, but if you're serious into drifting it then a full cage will do wonders. Another addition would be the strut tower to firewall brace (helps with some of the cowl shake. Rear strut tower bracing is probably overkill given all the additional support bracing back there. Swapping out the subframe bushings will help and some traction bars. A real stiff suspension set-up and maybe stitch welding the frame if you're going hardcore, although I wouldn't planning to drive it on the road much after that. I'm sure there is tons more you can do, but that would be a start. Good Luck.

i daily drift my rusty a** vert. full cage, cut up lowering springs, subframe collars and a welded diff. and also numerous ajustable suspension goodies....

but yeah, you can destroy some s*** ina vert, but its slightly more difficult to an extent to most, but i love it

+1... My vert is also stiffer than my old hatch. Never had a problem sliding the vert AT-ALL... CG is lower on the vert also. Its only heavier if u leave it stock.

But get a good cage, especially if ur gunna be rocking a welded diff on the street; u never know when that thing will let go [locking up the rear] and sling u off the road.

ohh, btw...
