Okay, so I'm having a little bit of trouble with my boot. Once the top is completly down and I lay the cover across it, I just snap all four of the round clips into place correct?

Only problem is, no matter how much I try, it bubbles up in some location or another, and I see no other way for it to connect...

little help?

And obviously, I don't drive with it on like that...

Is the boot cover bubbly or top mechanism is not all the way down? If it's former, you can leave it under the sun and it'll go back to its original shape. If it's the latter, you might want to check your top mechanism and make sure it's all the way down.

there's also the retainer in the center. That helps keep everything down.

Sometimes takes a few tries the first time, gotta tuck the rear/sides correctly.

its snaps to the 4 buttons, the back goes under the lip, and the front has a retainer clip a lot of people are missing. including myself, it stays in fine without the retainer for me.

Hey Zenki,If you stop by Costco's tire center, come in and see me and I can help you figure it out. I've had mine for about 9 years now and put the boot on every now and then. Didn't know there was an RB 240 in town. Have to keep my eye out for ya... you're selling the Vert?

Yeah, I see behing my rear seat where some type of clip used to be, so I guess That's what I'm lacking. The boot is immaculate. Swear it was new,

And No, it's not for sale ...

Regarding the rb240, I need to change that. I've went through two rb20 coupes, the vert is stock, minus a borla catback.

Considering an rb in the future, someone buy my BMW first!

I didn't realise it was supposed to be tucked in the rear, I'll take a look at it when I get home, seems way too simle for me to be having this big of an issue.

Thanks guys, and yes, every car I ever own, from the second I get it, is for sale.

ha. Start the bidding at....

1,000,000,000 dollars. I may try keeping a car for more than 6 months. Hell, I've only driven this one about 30 miles. Needs a new MAF.

Save a vert! reply to my WTB thread! I'm having the hardest time finding that damnded MAF. The s13 SOHC and DOHC's have different ones correct? Neither my friends '89 of buddies kouki have the same style MAF.

Maybe my car has the wrong one? only three wires....weird.

little help?

Yeah that would make things a lot easier. Seems the only people who replied in my WTB thread were across the country. Give me a call and leave a message on my cell. Number in Sig.

Need is pretty soon.

Hey I got 93 Vert and a boot with the clip on the seat but it doesn't like to stay. Im going to have some friends make me a clip out of aluminun and screwed or bolted down. But thats not the problem I don't know how the back part of the boot works can you show me a pic. Do you have to take the trim off to hook it in place is there some rubber gasket on the bottom where it sits on the car.

I have all the manuals but the one that shows how it works. The 240sx owners manualAnother book can't remember the name of it.I also have the Nissan Factory Service Manual With the VERT AddendumBut none of the tell how to install it. Can you help.

Ha. i noticed that as well. I have the bible thick vert manual, and the original owner's manual and neither list how the boot goes on.

Guess they had too much faith in us eh? I havn't been around the car in weeks, but if by the next time I am, No one has posted How-To's, then I'll snap a few.

I would appreciate any help you can give.

I have a filling that the original owners threw the book with that info away when they threw the boots away.

The vert service manual supplement shows how the boot goes on. It's under "General Information".

It's on pages C-7 and C-8 of the Service Manual supplement. A PDF of the supplement is available on this forum at http://www.nicoclub.com/FSM/240sx/

Thanks Guys. That helped, I thought the back part slide under but I wasn't sure. P.S. My book doesn't have that info. It was printed in December 1992 Strange how they left that info out.

P.S.S. Has anyone found where you can get the piece that goes across the backseat. Mine won't stay on.
