I just have to share this story because I'm so proud of myself! haha. One of my really good buddies presently drives an Integra RS with clear corners, blue headlights, and an ebay intake. This is his "new" car as of a few months ago. Before that, he drove a crappy old integra with the windshield wipers painted blue. He would be, what most people would call, a typical "ricer". Well, over the past year or so that I've gotten to be better friends with him, I've slowly been working the body kits and stickers out of his brain and replacing them with hp and tq numbers and suspension setups. I began to notice a change after only a short while, but there was still a long way to go. He would still bring magazines like Honda Tuner and Super Street to class. Slowly, I worked him into SCC, and now, he reads all my Road and Tracks and cancled his honda subscriptions! Around a month and a half ago, he decided to sell his Acura, which was only a few months old to him, but he just couldn't stand it anymore (did I mention it's auto), and he put a security deposit in for a brand new G35 SC! I felt I had scored a major victory for myself, but then his parents threatened to make him pay rent if he was to purchase such an expensive new vehicle, so he was forced to cancel his order as he would be unable to handle the monthly payments AND rent and food. We were both disapointed, but now he is actively searching for an S13 coupe and the words "I don't care so much about looks as I do the performace" actually came out of his mouth the other day when I pointed out a nice looking kit. Sorry for the long post, but I just had to show that a little care and devotion to a good cause can purge popular opinion from ones mind, and bring them to the dark side of automotive tuning (the side that keeps you up at night and makes you break up with your gf to spend more time and money on your car).

Moral: Friends don't let friends drive rice:ylsuper

I don't really care if peole rice out their cars anymore. We are just fighting a losing battle. Thank god that there aren't enough 240s in the world for everyone to rice out like there are civics and caviliers.
