Convertable rear windows not going up

Car 1994 240sx convertable.Problem: the rear quarter windows are tempermental / not working. The driver side will go up and down with some help (broken clips, that part I understand is common problem) but last night both windows didn't even go up? The motors made no sounds like they were trying. The driver side finally went up some and then stopped; then I put the top back down some (enough to cause the rear driver window to lower automatically a little when the top is lowering) so I know that it would go down, and is still working. I pulled up on the driver window again and pushed the up button and it went up. The passanger side is still down and has not responded to any pleeding as of yet.

Has any one had a similar problem? Or is there a common connection that comes undone? I have to check the fuses after work today, but with the driver rear window going up and down so I am guessing it is not a fuse unless they are on different circuits.

The main front windows driver and passanger work fine.

the window regulators for the verts are annoyingly temperamental. you'll probably need to replace those.
