I am going to need to rebuild my 5AT transmission in my 2008 G37S Coupe soon and have been trying to find out if it is possible to install a 7AT and a 2009 model ECU into my car. Does anyone know if this can be done or anyone who has already done it? The reason I want to do this is because tuning my car with the 2008 ECU is limited due to the smaller memory capacity of the 2008 model ECU. I am going to be installing a single turbo kit (hopefully) and would like the added features I can get with an EcuTEK tune. I talked with Sabastian at SpecialtyZ and he thought this was an interesting idea but he was not sure if it could be done. He has never tried it nor has he ever heard of it being done. I am hopeful someone reading this could shed some light on it.
