I just bought my 240sx and was looking into makeing it look alittle more modern when i seen a artical in the June 07' issue of Modified " Balanced Diet "where the builder used some 180SX doors and panels. i was wondering if the the doors he used < without the seat belt brace sticking up in the way > was a straight bolt up or if they had to do some modifying to get them to open/close properlly, i really want to get rid of my seatbelt brace/ post sticking up next to my ear all the time... any help there?

Also i have been reading about the diff s13 14 15's .. and was wonder what year i baught lol.. its just a stock 1993 cov. and i found a nice front end conversion kit for s15 that was supost to be for a 89-98 seen in yellow and black near the bottom of this page ..http://www.body-kitz.com/index1.html ...this should fit right?

Where would i find a good place to buy a new rag top, and the cover for it when its down..

Has anyone come up with LED tail lights for these cars yet?where would i find some good 4lug to 5lug convertion parts, or any spec's to convert mine over if you happen to know of any.

any idea if the door's advertised here > http://www.kgsengineering.com/...a1a4a

are a full door or if there just the sheet metal skin replacements? and at that price does it come with 1 door or two?

any help please, thank you

Best thing you can do is to use the search button. You do need to learn a lot before you start planning.

For startersS13 = 89-94S14 = 95-98S15 = 99-01 (japan only)

If you buy s13 coupe body kit, it'll work on a vert.

Ebay is a good place to buy new top cheap. Currently this guy has top+window @ $382.http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...ZWDVW

Nope. But s13 clear tail lights are available and they are popular among our vert guys.

I'd go with Ichiba parts. They are Nico sponsor and I have never heard of bad things. Some places offer specials, so keep your eyes on ads.

They come in as a pair as far as I know. Just the metal skin replacement.

I will say one thing, you won't need 400+hp for 'playing around town'. 250-300 is plenty to have fun with.

And for that, around 6k on a SR swap including extras should do it. Give or take.

Hi 2 all….

I am looking to weld the rear diff on my newly purchased late 1993 s13 180sx (240sx) with SR20DET. (Non ABS)

There seems to be a lot if confusion about the S13 rear diffs, some being non VLSD and some having factory fitted VLSD.

I am pretty sure that my car has VLSD purely due to the way it drives and feels, plus I have lifted the rear wheels and YES they do turn together at the same time…

I have had a look underneath the car, and noticed that the output shafts had 5 bolts and not 6 which confused me even more as I was expecting it to have 6 bolts…..

I need to know….

1. Is the current diff in my car a factory diff…..??

2. If not then, which diff is it and which car is it from….??

3. Can I weld a VLSD diff and where do I make the welds….??

4. If i don’t weld my current VLSD, Can I use the internals from a S13 OPEN DIFF to weld and place them in the currant diff casing on my car, saving myself time from changing the whole diff casing as well as the shafts?

What ever info you have please keep me posted as I will be starting work on the car soon.

Thank you…………
