I am planning on using a T25 running 5psi when I first get my project going, but I need to figure out how I'm going to control boost. The stock wastegate opens at 7-8psi, so even a normal boost controller won't be able to get it down to 5psi, do I need to run an aftermarket wasegate actuator like the one from HKS or Apexi? Thanks in advance.

you could replace the wastegate with a a 5 psi one, or as one member pointed out, you could thread the shaft and put a spring and a jamnut on there, and play with the nut to adjust the spring tension until it balanced out the vaccuum and gave you 5 psi...

hope this doesn't sound too ignorant, but where would I be able to find one set at 5psi? Would an adjustable one be better?

I heaaarrddd if u get any wastegate it will always be 2psi less since there is some power loss going thru. so if u have 7psi it would realli boost 5psi. is that true? remember i only heard
