control panel door wont open.

well, actually it will open but with a fingernail or some other asist. what is the mechanism that opens the door when you push the button. any fix advice?

sorry so long in getting back to you. the model is 96Q45t. this is a small annoyance but one i may be able to fix if you know what it is that springs the audio control door open on the bose.

I suspected you were talking about the Q45.

Does it make any noise when you push the "open" button?

If not the motor may have died completely.

If it does, maybe a gear or somethign broke.

I haven't taken the Bose HU apart *yet* so i don't know exactly how it works.
