ok, so I went and dropped 200 dollars on having my drivers side inner tie rod and a full 4 wheel alignment, man that hing was BENT... anyways, they were in the process of aligning the rear wheels when low and behold I have yet another problem to deal with. Apperently some juackass with a flatbed tow truck really didnt care about what happened to the car because they managed to bend the holy hell out of the passenger side rear control arm, so they were only able to get that tire to 1.375 aligned, which is waaay off. So while I have a decent align job it is still off by 2 degrees, so it still like likes to wander right, and the rear tire will be shot within a month or 2, I don't have another 200 to drop on a repair bill (they said I could come back within 6 minths and get a free alignment)

Anyways, I can find one fairly cheap(under 60 bucks) that is in good condition, my question is this, what all is involved in swapping out the rear control arm. I believe its the outer one (the one closest to the rear of the tire). I looked in the FSM that I have and it doesnt go into how to replace it. Will I need to remove the full wheel assembly (brakes, hub, ect) and the shock and spring to get to it and remove it. Will I need special tools, I would've done the tie rod myself but I don't have the right tools.

Any help you guys have would be great. Oh and btw I already searched the boards, didnt find anything for s14 rear control arm replacement.

i had to replace my rear lower control arm once. really wasn't that hard at all once i got the 'pickle fork' otherwise known as a ball joint seperator.

do yourself a huge favor and pick up a chilton's or haynes manual for your car. you can find them at most car stores like autozone or kragen/checkers.

oh yeah, you don't have to remove the shocks or entire wheel assembly either.
