When I go over small bumps I hear a slight thump sound which reminds me of when I had some control arm bushings crack and go bad on my previous car.

Has anybody had a similar problem?

I'm going to be putting a 350z suspension on it in the next few days and since i'm down there anyways, might as well fix this if its a problem....

Do they make upgraded bushings for these, or replace the whole arm?

I haven't seen any bushing kits from the bigger US companies (Energy Suspension or Prothane). I'd suspect, you could put some together from some of their existing parts if you knew the specs you needed though.

I would be surprised if you exhibited bushing wear this soon though. I'd check it out and confirm the source of the noise before spending money on something that may not resolve the noise.

Ever replace your struts and/or mounts?

I'm replacing them here in the next week.

the suspension feels solid, i only hear the noise while driving although handling hasn't changed much. Its not the bouncy effect of a bad strut so I'm just wondering if its a bushing.

I haven't changed out the mounts or struts yet...as i said, i'm going to be installing new struts/springs off a 350z in the next little while.

Would the strut mounts be a possible issue like this?

It could definitely be a strut mount. With 117+ k miles, I'm suprised it hasn't happened before now.

Good, i'll check into that then.

Like i said everything in the suspension feels solid but its a very tiny audible sound like a wobble for a half a sec after you go over a bump.

Hope this is the prob

thanks for the help

If the z suspension you are getting has strut mount, that probably will fix your problem. How many miles on the z suspension you are purchasing?
