Hi everyone, the control arm bushings (the ones that go to the chassis) on my 04 car are TOTALLY DESTROYED. I've been trying to find some but supposely you can only buy the complete control arm (i guess about $500 for the pair when all i need is just 2 bushings).

Anyone knows a cheaper solution????

thanks

front or back suspension?

the Front suspension is much more likely to have the strut mounts go out before the control arm bushings.

I changed mine out when i swapped to the 350z suspension and it fixed that for me.

Now I've developed a clunk in the right rear of the car, which i believe is the control arm bushing.

thanks man. They do not sell just the bushings but they have the best price (over 100 bucks cheaper for the couple).

I'm really surprised that Energy Suspension hasn't come out with anything for us or the 350Z. Seems like they're slacking over there.

I tried getting trailing arm bushings for my I30 and I was told NO. You have to buy the entire rear axle

Alot of companies are slacking when looking for aftermarket parts for mid-high end sport sedans. Just like nobody on this planet made an aftermarket suspension for the j30, which shares the same motor and transmission as a 300zx. Just plain stupid in my book.

The bushings are sold seperate for 2003...

but I was lookin for the back. You never answered whether it was the front end or the back end of your suspension....

How do you know it is the bushings for the control arms??

They are fronts. And I know its the bushings cause the control are not centered anymore and the bushings are totally destroyed.

Hey John, this is kind of another topic but I read you swapped to 350z suspension. What exactly did you swapped and why is the 350z better? (im guessing the G35's rear end should be heavier)

I also need to buy new shocks and i was thinking of getting something a little sportier without going crazy into coilovers. Any suggestions?

The 350z (revised) suspension is stiffer with a 1" drop. Its worth it. Depending on how much you want to spend this is a good route. If yo uare willing to spend more, I would have probably gone with the Tokiko D-spec shocks with the Eibach lowering springs.
