I posted in Quest forum but wanted to ask here since many of you run these on your Ms.
Any feedback would be appreciated.

I had the summer tires in 20's (conti dws) and the ride was sport or should I say stiff but served it's purpose. They are o.k. in my book. Just my 2c.

Yeah something definitely isn't right...these are pretty decent tires and definitely of the 'sporty' side of the track. My current Pirelli Cinturato P7's are more GT orientated and even those don't do too bad in the twisties.

I bought these for my van and was about to get another set for the M. It was mainly due to a recommendation and praise from members here. Tire rack also has high marks for these. That's why I'm a bit surprised. Although after some more research I found quite a few threads in bimmer forums about the same issue.
Wondering if maybe the difference is in the DWS vs DWS 06 model....Nevertheless, I think I'll go with a different brand for the M. Problem is I need a set like right now, but would like to do more research beyond tire rack reviews this time.....

Might be a difference in the older vs. newer (06) like you said, although the newer is supposed to be better. I've gone through about 3 sets (2 on my Camaro, 1 on the G) Right now the M has Michelin's and they are quieter and maybe softer, probably get DWS again on the next turn. The DWS are pretty stiff and I only notice a slight difference when swapping to my Hoosiers of the same size for AX days.

What size are they? If they are for the Quest, the sidewall probably isn't as low pro is it? I see you are in Richmond, you can probably get Tire Rack delivery next day or many in town places can get them quick. I go to a place in King George that can get what I want same day.

mike, yes these are 235/55ZR-18 so pretty tall side wall, but still way to flexible. I'm leaning to believe this is due DWS vs DWS 06 difference. I had them sitting in my garage for almost 2 months before getting them mounted, otherwise I would have return them. Tire rack delivers pretty quick to RVA, they usually come from Delaware warehouse. I'll be ok for a week or two for my new set , I'm just not sure which way to go since I really wanted to try out the continentals.....

That sucks to hear about the 06's, all my sets have been the first gen and I was hopeful about the new ones so maybe I'll do some more research for the next set.

Oh, I thought you had the 06, still hard to compare since the size on my Camaro is 275.35.18 and the G was 225 55 but didn't drive that as hard plus the suspension had more give so too many variables to compare. Either way thanks for bringing it up, I'm the type that will research it on and off for the next couple years until I actually need another set!
