I currently have a CA T25 installed on the engine. That is blown and I have a T28 from a pulsar gti-r ready to be swapped in. I have the requirements to run it but was wondering with my new power goals, I may need something bigger. Is there anyone out there that has this turbo on their engine? What kind of mods do you have and what kind of power are you putting to the wheels? Im looking to upgrade ALOT of stuff over the winter (cams, bore to 1.9, forged pistons, solid lifters, lightweight toda flywheel, hks headgasket, and a few other things) and was looking to aim for the 400hp mark. I'm not too sure if this is feasable with a T28 though, even at a high psi output. I was thinking of going a t3/t4 route. What kinda mods will I need for this kind of setup? Bigger injectors, reinforced block components, anything along those lines.

Thanks!

I'm pretty sure that a t28 will be too small if you're shooting for those kind of #'s...

yeah, youre looking about 300 horses topps. thatll little turbo will be out of its efficiency range any more than that. youll want a big t3/04 for that, and a lot of fuel.

That T28 will never put 400hp down. You'll need a T3/T4 hybrid for that. You'll also need big injectors and some sort of engine management.

you could go this route, i have yet to test this turbo setup, but it makes 450ish on evos so it should be good for 400+ hp on a ca18det, its internally gated so i didnt have to spend 220$ on a wastegate. but its alot of custom fabrication, if you can do that kinda stuff its actually a cheap upgrade.

I would love for you to make me one of those manifolds with a t3 flange.

Get with me, maybe we can work something out.

With that turbo set-up, you're looking around 300-350 whp depending on your fuel management and tuning. I'd say a nice t3/t4 or even a gt2871r turbo is an excellent choice for the 400's. Get a nice set of 700cc injectors, a 255 walbro fuel pump and a good engine management system and you're set!!
