Contemplating buying 240sx

The head gasket is blown from what ive been told is there anything else i would need to check for? Its A s13 93 i think

Oh my there is a lot to contemplate when buying an 18 year old car.

I would try searching NICO using the key words "buying guide" and if nothing pops up, I would Google "S13 buying guide". If things don't work out, I have an S14 with a blown head gasket that I am looking to sell.

Head gaskets dont usually blow on their own, usually from overheating which warps heads. Negotiate as if the head is warped.

well im deciding not to get it now if i have a warped head then i might as well buy a running 240

Look for rust, a messed up engine isn't too bad to deal (swap it/ rebuild it) but rust can ruin a car permanently .

yea but im on a tight budget and the most cost effective swap ive seen is the sr20 and i cant afford that

FInd another KA24E/DE, sr20de (no t), ca18det, there are tons of swaps but KA24E/DE are under 500 usually.

How reliable are the ca18det and sourcing parts isnt difficult is it?
