SSautchrome has a manifold that I have talked to kyle about. Its top mount and everyone here i think has discussed it once or twice. Im going to buy it today or tomorrow(as soon as i can get in touch with kyle)I think i may be one of the early few to have this manifold on the s14, so ill let everyone know how it goes.My question is--how can i call them. Thay have an online order form that you have to fill out, but I want to verify pricing and shipping and etc with them before ordering. Anyone know how to do this?

I ordered the same one already, should be here this week. I got mine from another site, but paid 450. I like being able to talk to a warm body when I order parts though. The XS site does use paypal though. You could use that method instead of faxing.

yep--cept my paypal is in the negative. I got charged twice by a company for a purge valave, and then they went out of bussiness. So now I cant get paypal to give me a credit on it.

:(I will order mine today via fax--What site did you order yours from? Its like 400 with free shipping from xs-power, so il go there, but itd be nice to see if the place you ordered from would price match.

http://www.turbocalculator.com but XS is a much better deal, aside from the ordering PITA.

Getting ahold of Kyle and then ordering the correct manifold through that site is a total PITA. It took me 9 days just to get the GB number, so I took that as a clue and went with someone else.

Yep-- I ordered form turbo calculator.I got tired of the slackass people not returning my email.(xs-power/ssautochrome)Kyle returns emails and stuff pretty quickly, but i dont like ordering from someone i cant talk to directly. Theres a reason a company doesnt list a contact number----they dont liek to focus on customer service. I.E.--if i have a problem--they dont care enough to talk to me about it.I dont do business that way--440 bucks is enough for me to deserve to talk to the guy im spending it with.

-JoshP.S.---i will be ordering that stainless exhaust though from kyles groupbuy though--thats a sweet looking exhaust--and custom exhausts like mine (Made at muffler shop) that are 3 inch sound too loud due to the pipe walls not being thick enough and the vibration is crazy. I hate my exhaust.

Im getting that stainless one.

Kyle has been nothing but helpful for me, answers emails within the day, even within a few minutes, and i recieved my part no problem.

yeah--kyle isnt thr problem--the damn guy who i was trying to order from was the problem. I just dont like ordering with no one to speak with, and, if necessary, hold responsable.

Kyle must be out of town though---he hgasnt responded to my email. I havent gotten my mani form him, but i still want that exhaust.

i was under the impression that this wasnt a manifold of good quality from everything i have heard on the board.. but if wd is using it im beginning to be curious...could someone elaborate on what makes this one different from the ones that we continually hear about cracking.

A few people posted some bad stuff about SSA a long time ago. Since then they've switched materials and also switched fabricators. The manifolds I've seen as of late have been of good quality. In fact, if you look at the HKS manifold for the SR and then compare it to the SSA manifold for the SR you really won't be able to tell the difference.

But, I'm not saying we should all switch, I'll be more pro SSA within a month or two of having it installed and taking the abuse I plan to throw at it.
