Consumer Reports recommends the EX 35.

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

The review in this month's Consumer Reports is mostly favorable. They do not usually recommend a car model in its first year but based on the G 35 reliability the EX was recommended. It also reported that Audi, M-B, and Volvo will have sporty smaller SUVs in 2009.

Yeah I was going to take a hard look at the XC60...but Volvo was way too late getting that to market. The XC60 should have been a 2008 model. Infiniti is getting a big jump on everyone because it comes in at a time when the only real competition is an outdated X3, an underpowered RDX, and a limited availability LR2.

Interesting. I wonder if they've also taken a peak at their survey data. JD Power reported a very low initial problem rate for the EX35. But in TrueDelta's surveys the model hasn't been so problem free--details in a week or so with the next set of results.

CR's data will be from around April, so when the car's were very young. So their result should be similar to JD Power's when it's released around November.
