Some interesting tidbits in their annual auto issue.

Their top 10 highest scoring cars includes 4 Nissan/Infiniti's

Nissan Altima 3.5Infiniti M35 AWDInfiniti M35 RWDInfiniti G37

Other top scorers included the Z06, hyundai Genesis, and Lexus LS460

At the other end of the spectrum, the lowest scoring vehicles:

Jeep WranglerHummer H2Ford Ranger XLTHummer 3Jeep LibertySmart FourtwoChevy Aveo ILTDodge NitroToyota FJ cruiser

This year they charted manufacturer LT reliability after 10 years.

Best 5 were:ToyotaHondaNissan (yay)SubieFord

Not very surprising that VW ranked last. Although Hyundai was 2nd worst, just ahead of Chrysler &GM, CR noted Hyundai has significantly improved their quality in recent years, so their ranking after 10 yrs of ownership should also improve.

Best measured MPG: Toyota Priusworst measured MPG: Ford F250 Lariat Diesel 10mpg Hummer H2 11 mpg 8 way tie for 13mpg mostly full sized SUVs Top ranked manufacturers

HondaSubie Toyota (massive recall taken into consideration)HyundaiNissan

Worst rated manufacturersMitsubishi GMChrysler

CR noted Ford once again improved in their ratings

Thoughts?

Why did you, or they, spell out all the manufacturers but then not spell out Subaru?

You saved a whopping one letter by calling it "Subie"

*edit* Oh, and nice read

It greatly surprises/saddens me to see the FJ Cruiser where it is on the list. I would LOVE to have one of those. Do they still make them with a V-8 option with a 6-speed?

According to Edmunds.com the only engine offered for the 2010 FJ is the 4.0L V6, but you can still get an FJ with a 6-speed manual.
