has q70 rated as best luxury midsized car score of 88 with above average reliability . Lexus gs and es 300 are next in line.
My wife has a Sienna mini van and hers is rated the top her class as well.I don't expect this makes me a genius but a few good decisions cant hurt.

:dblthumb: Good decision indeed!
The rating of 78-82 from the CR car guide in 2016, is one of the reasons I purchased a CPO Infiniti.
After a few bad decisions on prior vehicle purchases, I’m very pleased with my Q70.

Today is two weeks that I purchased my CPO 2016 Q70 and I love it.
The free oil change coupon that I received from Infiniti for my 2012 G37S had unexpected results for me and a win for the dealer.

I do miss my 2012 G37S 6 speed and am still getting used to driving an automatic.

FWIW my previous used car purchase was a 1953 Cadillac in 1963

I love all the new features on the Q70. The first long road trip from NJ to Florida will be in late summer.

Kinda interested to see how the turbo charged mills are going to hold up. Especially the boogied out KR20 variable compression turbo offered in the QX50 that will no doubt the offered across the board in years to come.

I'm assuming the next q70 is going to be a full redesign. I think it will happen in the next 3-4 years.

I really like my M56xS, but the Q70 didn't really have an update on the interior, it's exactly like mine. If they wait another 3-4 years, I hope that's a guess on your part, they will screw themselves. They need to drastically improve their audio such as Apple Car Play just to start and a complete redesign should and better happen in the next year or two.

Get off the pot Nissan/Infiniti.

A happy but concerned customer.

Yeah i hope they update soon but i think it is unlikely as the y51 chassis didn't sell incredibly well in the first place. I believe the y51 was introduced in 2011 and companies usually do mid cycle in 5 years and full redesign in 10.

The Q70 is just a rebadge of the M37/M56 with new exterior styling and a 360 camera. Infiniti certainly does need to update the interior and tech to be competitive in the cars price range (as new).
IMO, it needs...
A high res infotainment screen
Apple CarPlay/Android Auto
A much higher res backup and 360 camera
Active Exhaust
Active Dampers/Suspension
Digital speedometer in the center info screen
Power trunk (powered open/close)
More than a single USB port (seriously)
A HUD
A much better transmission (a DC or better torque converter would likely drop this thing at/near the 3s for 0-60mph)
Massaging seats

That’s not to say the car is in any way/shape/form “bad” as it is now, BUT, at the $63k+ base msrp of the 5.6L Q70/M56 it’s not as desirable when compared to the competitors. For $10k more, the M550i is a technological marvel by comparison. However, when looking at used Q70/M56s, now you have an amazing and nigh-unmatchable bargain IMO.

I want to stay with Infiniti but they are moving too slow for me. I have been looking at the Lexus GS. Not crazy about the exterior styling but they are so up to date with nav and electronics

They have/had a Q70S on the showroom floor. It was $74000. Mine was that our more in 2013 with awd. For that money your real close to a Tesla model S with way more up to date infotament system and way more power oh and no gas. I've owned Nissan infiniti products since the early 90's. Please guys get your a** in gear.

I noticed that Infiniti is now using the word 'Luxe'...ok

So what have they done lately to make their vehicles more luxurious?? especially for the Q70? It is the same interior since 2011??

Probably a silly idea from one of the development team - maybe the same tosser who decided everything needs a Q in the name?
As for updates, the radio is now over 10 years old and very low watts. I seriously am beginning to think they can't be bothered with the full size models. The Q50, Q60, and the QX midsizes are the bread and butter for sales. I predict the new QX50 will be a huge hit and the Q70 will continue the same interior for a while longer.

You can get a Lexus GS with 835 watt Levinson system
