I have searched past threads and have been looking for a consult/software. Where is the best place to get this? Is the consult itself preferred over the software? This is probably a great Wes question. Thanks.

Go To The PLMS website, http://www.plmsdevelopments.com/consult_if.shtml. The cost is about $30 for a software key. It is not the factory software, but it is very good.

Save your money and just get a full fledged used Nissan Consult-II off ebay for around $500. Its more than worth it.

Not sure how something that costs $6200 today can end up used on ebay for $500 unless stolen.

We bought 3 new Consult II last year for $17,000.By the way a Consult III cost $17,000 FOR ONE!

Now Consult I is another case since they have been around since 1989.

The only Consult 2's I saw were on eBay for 6500 bones. Nuh uh, not if I can get the software and data cables for under 400 from that aussie website. Thanks guys. Getting a new laptop that isn't a crappy Dell, hoping to have fun with my Q and laptop's bonding time.

Series 1 are more common on ebay but you can occasionally find a series 2 for around the same price.

You can also get a new series 2 off ebay for around $6500 out of australia.

I've never seen a new/unused series 1 on ebay.

Aftermarket generic consult software and connectors are fine if you are just tinkering with the motor. The minute you start digging deeper,(like with the LAN network in some Q45's), its a whole different ball game.
