Before I did the Duno run, I had the dealership replace the drive belts, fuel filter, do a fuel rail and injector flush, and a Consult diagnostic.

Here is the result of the Consult diagnostic. I have no idea what this tells me, but the tech said it was all within specs.

Any and all input is welcomed.

Jeff your car is running cold... Both of those consult measurements are not warm enough.... THE ECU needs to read at 174F+, most are around 180...

which would also explain why its running a little bit rich

Not RICH, the word on Consult means to command the ecu to run richer as the system is LEANER than preprogram/calculation. But it is not warm enough to really be valid?

Is that a question, or an affirmation of Wes's observation about operating temperature?

My Q45tech decoding schema is off today.

I think it was a statement in the form of a question, or was it a question in the form of a statement?

Not warm enough to conduct power balance and other test without overridding lockouts but warm enough to run ok in closed loop.

Not warm enough which proves the need for a new thermostat. The individual readings are as seen by ecu so they are never temperature dependent, the ecu outputs: injector time, advance are always temperature dependent.

I will get a new thermostat, but hate to do it before the next dyno pull, so it doesn't throw off the "change" effect of the exhaust. I really want to document the change caused by the exhaust system.

I do have to take her back for another drive belt. I will get another Consult print out. I will make sure she is warmed up more this time.

Remember, when you tested her last year, she was too cold for accurate readings then, too.

Thanks for the info.

he he - Notice the ECU part number? 64U12 is JDM-only.

Just for fun I thought of changing it to say "ROBRT" or "NICO!" something, but I've never gotten around to it.

Honestly, how hard would it have been for the factory software pukes to have the ECU throw a warning code if the thermostat isn't working?

Coolant temperature is low + ambient temperature is warm enough that engine should have fully warmed up by now + engine has been running long enough to have fully warmed up by now = probable thermostat malfunction. Not exactly rocket science...
