Not a good sign. So we are back to a Consult with the three appropriate cards.elwesso wrote:I already tried to ask the NICO sponsor guy and i coulndt get through to his email. The "contact" form on the website didnt work, and his email kept bouncing me back....
So far, there is not software that will communicate wiht the active, BCM, TCU, etc....
The software that is included is Nissan OBD SCAN TECH.elwesso wrote:the interfaces are well understood and going to be the same regardless.... I just want to know if he uses nissan datascan (I am going to assume he does)
I don't think it will work your car... the F50 is definately OBDII - the change-over was in 1996.mcrews wrote:maybe a dumb question....it wont work on the 2002 f50 right?it is a obd1not a 2?

Hmm, maybe thats different than "nissan datascan..."lino wrote:The software that is included is Nissan OBD SCAN TECH.
That interface price is cheap comparing to the one i bought. By the way, does the activation codes come with it?lino wrote:

Sorry, I don't know anything about consult III. I'm guessing the interface from my list or above probably not compatible, because consult III has CAN module. I would think if consult III released on PC, the interface card must have some sort of dongle protection, therefore making it incompatible. I like to see more info on that software you mentioned. Do you have a link? However, I have heard you can use the interface on the consult II with few minor modifications. No one has written a consult II software that I'm aware of. What i heard is Consult I and II have almost similar protocol. I'm really interested in consult II at the moment and seeking for some protocol info.elwesso wrote:BTW consultman, welcome to NICO! thats a great list of software you posted in the KA-T forum.
I have a question for you. You know about the new consult III that just came out, which is an interface card and software for a laptop. Do you know if the software alone would be compatible with one of the interfaces listed? As I understand it you can use any software with any of the interfaces (as theyre basically the same)...
The main thing I want is to get active suspension compatibility with a laptop based consult, as do most active Q45 owners...ConsultMan wrote:Sorry, I don't know anything about consult III. you mean the consult 1 interface on consult2? definitely notwhere did you hear consult 1 and 2 are similar protocols? ive heard the opposite (and lack of significant protocol info on consult 2 is testament to the fact theyre not very similar).ConsultMan wrote:However, I have heard you can use the interface on the consult II with few minor modifications.
