consult alpha values

hey, does anyone know what happens to the alpha values when adding an intake and exhaust to your vehicle. A stock vehicle should generally have around 100% value. Well when i pluged in the consult the other day I was getting 130%. Just wondering if this is due to my modifications altering the a/f ratio or a faulty component forcing my engine to run lean. thanks
