Constant Vibration at ~65mph

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

Does anyone else feel this? Its exactly like another post about "Sporadic Vibration" but the OP deleted his post.

I've noticed this since I've purchased the car in Oct '08 and have been to the dealer numerous times and all I've received was an offensive answer which I dont need to share here. Driving on a smooth highway anywhere from 60-70mph, I get this vibration like I'm constantly going over small bumps. I've had 3 tires replaced and the car was aligned twice (due to replacing steering racks.)

Maybe the wheels are defective?

I'm having my doubts about it having to do with the wheels. All 4 wheel/tire combo's were roadforced balanced with "good results" which Im assuming didnt need much weight to compensate. Its not a normal out of balance vibration. Its felt most on the front driver and passenger floor.

Have you checked the tires to see if they are out of round, this will not be fixed by a balance. You said 3 new tires, if one is bad Murphy's law says it will be the one you did not replace. I have had tires in the past that were out of round and at speed they feel like they are square.

I was thinking the same thing...why only 3 tires? It's very possible that a tire is out of balance.

well it was the dealerships service manager's decision to replace 3. Its beyond me why they wouldnt have done all four other than cost. Although I think that if it was out of round, it would be pretty obvious once it was on a balancing machine. Although, Im not very familiar with the road force balancer...I think it should be able to pick up a vibration since it is apply force/weight to the wheels as they're spinning.

I would try bringing this to another Infiniti dealer - it seems like the dealer you are currently working with isn't getting the job done...you're under warranty so any other dealer will be able to help you out with no issues...

I have had a problem with wheels on another vehicle where improper torquing of the wheel lug nuts (alloy wheels especially) will warp the wheel and or rotor resulting in vibration at high speeds since its a very small amount of warp-age,

Try rotating the wheels and examine the rotors for uneven wear...

Sounds to me like something besides tire/wheels are resonating. Could be a lose damper/shock absorber or more likely an exhaust part that lost support. May be try shifting to 4th and see if it changes.
