Hi,

I'd like to say that you all have real nice cars and that is why I am considering purchasing one. I currently drive a 93 Prelude Si , 5 speed, i/e/udp and am looking into a 240SX (97-98) because they just look amazing. The looks, the engine, and the RWD really attract me to it. I'm told by many people that this car is slow and you cant get low-mid 15s with bolt ons, tell me this isn't true please! I would plan on buying a 97 then putting an intake, exhaust, headers, and cams into it and just leaving it at that. Any reasons I should NOT purchase a 240? Any reasons I SHOULD purchase a 240? Thanks for your input!

i have a 89 240sx and i love it. Best car i have ever bought. One thing good about these cars is that you can drive them for millions and millions of miles and have no engine trouble. about that it being slow yes they are slow stock but not that slow. Best thing about 240s are that they can basicly outhandle anything on the road. my 89 is a SOHC so your 96 or 97 would be faster then mine cause it is a new DOHC version. As for bolt ons. I have hot shot headers. Injeg intake. no cat. and magna flow turbo muffler and a Apexi SAFC all this cost me about 780 bucks doing the work all my self. It would have been cheaper if i went and bought all hte stuff off ebay but the SAFC is the only thing on ebay i bought. With all these mods i am getting around 15.2 and 14.9 on cold nights like 40 degree nights with my g-tech. so i say its pretty fast. and plus you can get turbo kits for the engine real easy and be up to 300 hp pretty quick. or just drop a SR20DET and then you already have turbo and everything. the after market for these cars are HUGE very HUGE. i am very happy with my 240.

What the heck? You can easily hit 15's with only BPU's.
