so i've got my J30, and i'm considering going to a Q of those years, either the 25th anniversary 2000 or a 2001 model, i wasn't ever really itnerested in the design on the 2002+......so...is there anything I should know about that series of Q's to look out for? what's regular maintenance on it, etc...

a few are in the area for sale, about 50-70k miles on the q's in the area...

thanks in advance...

Read the article and a few of the threads on that topic on this forum.

Main thing is to obtain the Infiniti dealer performed service history before even looking at the car. If it passes your inspection, have it inspected by a Senior Infiniti Technician. Check all fluids.

Be aware the t and ae models have the more expensive adjustable shocks. Avoid the NAV if possible as it is seriously outdated.

Agreed on all counts.. the Y33 dont have too many problems, however im sure as they near 10 years old, they will be getting to that point.

Pay an INDEPENDENT CERTIFIED TECH at another dealership [if you buy from a dealership]..............if the used car lot won't allow you to take it to a dealer run.

Every used car will have defects even perfectly dealer maintained every 90 days...............5-6 year old cars will need new shocks!
