Hi guys. I'm new to the boards here and considering purchasing a 2010 altima coupe at the end of the month. I'm no stranger to altima's as I had an 02 Altima until my sister totaled it out a few months back. In terms of what I'm looking for, I'd like a car that has a sporty feel, is fun to drive, and provides good gas economy. It seems that the AC 2.5 fits my qualifications, but I'd like to get some input from those of you who own the 2.5.

So, for those of you who have the 2.5, given it's HP, would you say its a fun/spirited car to drive?
How does it fare in terms of road noise?
Does it handle nimbly?
For those of you who have the Premium package, can you comment on the quality of the Bose sound system and bluetooth capabilities?

Thanks in advance!

I can only say for the 2.5 I test drove before I purchased my 3.5. It did seem to have some pickup and could corner decently. Road noise is there, not the best but not the worst either. As for the Bose, it's TOP notch in my opinion. That's the only reason I haven't done any audio work in my car.

As far as speed and handling my dad has the 2.5 and its handles nice and has a good amount of power for a four cylinder.
I have the premium, the bose system is great and the bluetooth is just as good as the one in my moms lexus so i cant complain.

I've had my 2010 coupe for 2 weeks now and I love it. Has plenty of power and great gas mileage. Premium package is awesome!

This is exactly the post I'be been wanting to write for the past month or so.

I'm strongly considering the 2.5s coupe based on style, size, mpgs and price. I test drove an 08 and wasn't thrilled with acceleration and road noise but understand that coming from a true sport sedan I'm going to have to make some sacrifices.

Besides the original questions can others comment on the price they paid or give some reliable sites with true prices paid? Also what do you guys think of waiting until Labor Day or mid September? I know the 11's are coming and dealers have had several '10s just collecting dust on their lots.

The engine hasn't changed since 08 so you won't notice any difference now.

As for waiting. You're right in the prime time, Early August - Late September to buy since they're doing the "year end model sales event".

I just got rid of a 2001 BMW 325i and got an Altima Coupe 2.5s because it was the perfect combination of a fun, fast, economical ride.
I can easily pass anyone on the highway and it drives nice and smooth even around 80 mph, I'm still amazed it's just a 4 cylinder.
The Accord Coupe I test drove before it felt like my sister's big camry so that was a no go despite so many good reviews of it.
You definitely can't compare the power to the 3.5s model which was fun, or the G35 my dad has, but when you look at those options the price gets jacked up way too quick and not worth the $ imo.
The 3.5s model i drove was great but got real close to $30k with those pricey options packages which for around the same price you can get a new BMW 1 series which would be a nicer/more fun car with a longer warranty.

Just my $0.02 tho and worth every penny..

Drove the 2.5 its pretty decent...would have bought if there wasn't a 3.5. The bose system is great added two subs in the trunk and system sounds amazing.
