I joined to ask if considering a versa s is a good decision. I try to get a Versa S for under 10k and drive it for at least 4 years. I am looking for the base model with 5spd since I heard some of the horror stories of the CVT. Heck, I saw the replacement transmissions on the dealer lot when looking for cars. Dealers in CA are willing to let go the 2016 for less than 10k. That with a bit of money down can be 150/month.

If you can get a reputable brand with a warranty for 10k, its a good deal.
I say go for it, if you haven't already.

I got it... was 9988 plus tax and license. Could not say no for such a low price. I also average 43mpg per trip computer in my 540 miles of driving it.

Great deal! I hope you enjoy the new car. We love our Versa. What transmission did you get? Were you able to get a manual?
