Thanks for the insight!PowerslavePA wrote: ↑Mon Jul 10, 2023 3:01 pmRun the car to operating temp and listen for any whirring or whining from
the transmission. I got a 2016, and it started whirring at about 95,000
miles. IT doesn't do it cold, but does hot. The CVT8 is a better trans.
If you're not all that concerned with good MPG, get a Murano, they have
the better CVT8 with the chain instead of the push-belt, and a deeper trans
oil sump.
Good stuff! Thanks!Svtrit wrote: ↑Mon Jul 10, 2023 6:34 pmI think the vehicle history report is your best friend when buying a Rogue. What mileage are you looking at? If there is no history of a transmission fluid service and it has more than 125,000 miles on it, I’d look for a different one.
The transmissions are the only deterrent from these cars. My first Rogue went 155,000 miles on the original transmission until a meth head rammed it in a parking lot. Transmission fluid service is what got it there.
