Considering a 2012 M Hybrid w/ tech package

Went to look at a 2012 M Hybrid today with 58,000 miles and 3 owners for $16,987. Has a clean car fax report but found out the backup camera doesn't work, needs a recall mod done for M35 HYB Control Module Repro and due to insurance reasons the auto broker won't let me take the car to my mechanic but he can look at it there.

The test drive went well and I really like the car, black on black in great shape.

I will check with my mechanic on Monday and advised the Salesman I would need the backup camera and recall addressed if we were to buy.

Has anyone had backup camera issues = blue screen and had to take their car into Infiniti for a recall?

As for your issue, I think there were a few posts in this sub-forum within the last couple of weeks regarding the camera. Should come up in a quick search of this sub-forum specifically (wouldn't come up in the M35/M45 forum).

I was already considering an Infiniti after market warranty, do you think this would be addressed under it?

Yes it should...as long as you get the Elite warranty (don't mention the camera issue before and then hold out for a month or so before you report it).

There are a few posts on here (and the other M sub-forum) of where to get the warranty for a good price.
