my brother sent me this in an email. I had to honestly try just not to tear from it (and I haven't felt bad or emotional for anything in my entire life to be honest). Heres the link...

I wanted to start crying, thats never happened before. When looking at the pictures of her all happy, then the after pics, all I could think about was that happening to my Nicole. I don't care how bad that guy feels, if someone did that to one of my loved ones, I would burn them alive in their truck. **** like this makes me want to go to public records and pull up DUI listings and go on a psychopathic killing spree killing anyone who has a DUI manslaughter charge. That peice of **** can get out as early as '05. I found that out when I was reading some local newspaper articles from the girl's local town. I couldn't get that out of my head, so I ended up finding out quite a bit. It's disturbing knowing that no matter how well off you are and no matter how good of a person you are, you can still have it all taken away from you by the irresponsible actions of another person.

my god... if i was that guy i wouldnt be able to live with myself... happens a lot though, and every case is still just as bad. I agree with the vigilante justice if someone did that to one of my loved ones...

I NEVER drink and drive, If I drink I make sure that I can chill for a long while till im 100% sober.Smoking if completly diffrent for me, its fun driving while stoned ... I put some hard trance/trance music and take a nice relaxing drive home. But I only smoke weed with my crew, we chill, laugh, have fun and party - I dont smoke by myself for the hell of it, its not fun at all.

I totally agree with S14, on this oneSmoking weed and driving, isnt like being drunk, although i have never driven drunk, there not in the same category, and ya there should be some sort of disclaimer on this post, cause i almost vomitted all over the place, but still this was very powerful.

Yeah... that's sick. I can't drink for another 5 1/2 years, and I sure as hell won't do any driving, especially with all these horror stories.

i agree with the statement that driving under weed is different then alcohol... weed mainly effects just how your thinking, not your ability to drive...and for most people that means driving like grandma down the street. Unlike alcohol wich makes people think they are the driving shiznit and floor the acclerator...

Anyone who thinks driving under the influence of weed is okay is a fool. One of the main problems with alcohol is slowed reaction times and a distorted sense of what is going on. Weed does the same thing. Yeah people tend not to speed, but they still make poor desicions. Drive sober or almost sober or don't drive.Bryce

i think he was referring to the thing about smoking weed before driving. I don't give a **** what you'r on, if it's a depressant and your driving on it, you should have you'r license taken away for life. I have 3 family members killed by drunk drivers and my mother was hit by one when I was 12 (on my ****ing birthday) now she gets migranes daily and passes out if she's standing up for too long (her neck is ****ed up and she has a blood/oxygen flow to the brain problem now), she passed out in the local Winn Dixie a few years ago, that was really embarrassing. I don't give a **** what people choose to do by themselves, they're just ****ing themselves, but people need ot know when it's appropriate. Theres pretty large statistics for marijuana involved accidents, not as many as alcohol, but enough to prove my point that you'r a selfish **** if you do it.

true that. driving "impared" is NEVER OK. EVER.

Now, I'm not totally innocent myself. I've driven after smoking before, but god damn I will never ever do that again. I had to go through a DUI stop when I did it.. Luckilly they didnt notice, but holy ****. That combined with the OBVIOUS delayed reaction time you get... a totally bad idea. I know a lot of people do it (smoke and drive) thinking it's OK, but damn man... why take the risk? If you end up killing somebody, nobody is going to have any sympathy because "it's only weed."

There's actually some commercials on TV now about smoking and driving... it said 1 out of 3 DUI accidents involved weed, not alochol. Take it how you want, but I'm never going to do it again.

actuaally the number of weed accidents is greatly inflated... what they did is test for weed in the system. THC is present for a few weeks after smoking. If you take a few migrain pills and drive, its the same thing to me..and in calit we have these comercials that are propaganda against marijuana. One shows a kid smoking with his friend and then shooting him with a gun (because he was so spaced out) and another shows a guy raping a girl because they are both stoned... RETARDED. If someone rapes a girl after smoking, its not cause of the weed, he would have done it anyway. I say make it legal. :)

i dont think the rape commercial makes any sense, but the shooting one does. The stupid ****in kid wasn't paying attention to the 'little details' (like bullets) of things throghout the commercial, something I didn't pay attention to either when I used to smoke (a LONG time ago). The one with the guys hitting the little girl on a bike when leaving a drive-thru, that was a little overdone, but still very possible and easily done on the part of someone stoned.

Heh yeah they have those commercials over here in Connecticut too... I think they're kinda funny. hahah do you have the one where the crash test dummies are smoking and then they crash!? hahahahah THEY"RE CRASH TEST DUMMIES THATS WHAT THEY'RE SUPPOSED TO DO! lol man...

heh and I didnt mean to say that I think the commercials are totally valid... I actually think they're pretty bogus (including the ones where its like BUYING DRUGS FUNDS TERRORISTS or whatever-- lol not the weed I buy- it comes from a friend I know who grows it.) -- but it's just an interesting point that coencides with the conversation. Funny though.
