Hi,

This connector is coming off the main harness. The connector that SHOULD connect to this is missing and in its place is a small, white, round, 3 hole/2 prong connector. I think some one switched the carb out (has many tool marks and questionable gasket materials, etc... ) at this point or at the least the valve. The anti-dieseling valve currently has one white wire from it, and the choke has one blue. I need to know where the original red from the anti-dieseling valve wire goes into this connector for my upcoming Weber conversion. I would like to know to what wire the choke should go to for future reference.

Thank you for all your help!

Well, my Weber 38 only has one wire, for the choke. So I'm not sure what to tell you about the red wire. As far as that thing in the picture, kill it. It does nothing now :)

Ok... After researching and researching and researching... I have concluded that my 86 actually has a 82-85 year carb on it. It is a 2 wire. It is supposed to be a 6 wire. Now I just need to figure out the harness... I have/am compiling a lot of information on this. I will organize it and post it later! I hope to save others in my situation this nightmare.

You know, I don't know much, but before I modify something, at least I research the project and don't butcher it. The previous owner is a moron. :soap: Sorry, had to vent...

actually that looks like connector 26M which is for the ?transmission? Even late model trucks only used two wires for the carb. One was the auto choke / heater, the other the anti dieseling solenoid. you are looking for a 2 wire connector (13M in haynes) it should contain a blue wire, and a blue with white stripe wire. The blue wire is for the auto choke heater, and the other is the anti-dieseling solenoid.

The Hanes manual says that also. I have seen too many 6 wire carbs online that use this connector though. I also noticed last night that the Hanes is a bit sketchy on this. There is no round 2 wire connector on my truck. In fact, the harness that comes off the main that is supposed to have the 13m is non-existant on mine.

Hi All,

I THINK I gathered enough clues about the connector wire order. I was able to use the connector one-way notches to help me.

I know the Main Harness is correct. I need the Carb Harness verified, can someone confirm this for me?

Thank you!

UPDATE: After speaking with a Tech from Nissan, he says the anti-dieseling solenoid connects to the RY wire to the left of the blue one. It should have 12v when ignition is on. I will confirm this, and post a detailed outline in another post.

Wait, so are you keeping the stock carb? I had thoguht you were going to do a Weber for some reason, eliminating the use of this plug.

I am going to a weber. I had to find the correct wire on the plug. The plug I have is to the main harness, so I do not want to cut it off or anything.

Ah, see. That's what I was getting at, though. I completely removed mine and removed all the wires all the way back to the main harness with no issue. You'll just need to leave the two little ground wires attached to the manifold and then run a new wire to the electric choke (if equipped).

That would just be the older version.
