Connector Help

    Ok guys so I have a 1990 300zx and I found a connector that isn't connected to anything, anybody know which connector it is? There is another connector that looks like its supposed to connect to it but its different

    They are located near the fuse box

    It goes to your TPS (throttle position sensor).

    Yeah, that's the gray one. The white one at the bottom is a body harness connector that goes to something or another. idk which you were asking about

    I don't think that grey connector in the picture is for the tps. Tps connector is a 3 wire connector, that one only has 2. I do not see a hood switch in your pic, that might be for the hood sensor.

    In your first pic, next to the shock mount. See the red nut on the empty bracket.

    Yep, it's definitely the hood switch connector as I removed mine as well, and have the same "extra" connector now...

    TPS has 3 pins. Hood switch has 2. It's in the right place for the hood switch. People remove them because there is no light under the hood, but if you leave the hood up, it will drain the battery.
