I have a 2007 G35 sedan, I am finishing up an engine rebuild on. The Manuel says to torque the rod cap bolts to 30 ft lbs, loosen, then, 18ft lbs. I spoke two different engine shops and was told to torque to 30ft lbs then an 90 degree angle. The other shop said to just toque to 35 ft lbs and that's it. It has an HR engine and being so. So many parts were different and with that being so. I'd hate to have to do this all over again and cause engine damage. Can someone please help? I'd very much appreciate it. Thanks

I'm not sure I would go with the recommendations of a Mexican mechanic. On the other hand, using the factory service manual would be wise.
