Stock connecting rods come with numbers stamped on them , so my question is what side of the block do the numbers face.....or does it make a difference?

I really wanna say it does not matter.

I don't recall doing anything special with mine or which way they were facing. And we followed all the FSM's instructions.

Usually if there is a specific way the rods must be oriented, the writing will be stamped on the front-facing side of the rod.

Put them in writing forward.
