Connecting portable GPS

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

I just purchased my EX (without NAV), and the salesman hinted that it may be possible to connect a portable GPS and have it show up on the in-dash screen. Has anyone heard of this? I've been searching, but have only come up with a hack for programming the NAV while driving.

Beyond the obvious (that car salesman will literally say anything!), I have not heard of any such capability.

Even if a particular GPS provided a composite video output jack, you would have to perform the aforementioned "hack" before it would display while you're moving.
