wow

first of all, thanks to whoever nominated me and thanks to whoever made the official decisions. i'm shocked, i'm honored, i'm excited, and i'm a little nervous.

how did this happen? i'm just some guy working on his car with his wife. it's nothing special... yet.

so, what does this mean? how long is it going to be up? what should i do?

i guess i should update the thread... go check it out. this is for the vert forum!

You're welcome.. and you deserve it.

That thread is a fantastic example of a Member's Projets - build thread because you were so good at documenting all the little steps (with pictures!) in the build project. Your writing is strong and interesting. Plus a few pics of the hot blond don't hurt either .

Not sure how long it will be up there... I'd guess through the holidays at least.

Keep up the good work.

thanks everyone. my wife thinks it's pretty cool too. it's not enough motivation for her to come out to the shop until i get a heat source in there though...

once i get my dsm out of the way, i'll get back to working on the vert.

i'm eagerly awaiting the december rotm!

Tri City Evolution on the map again! I would like to thank everyone as well. We spend a lot of time helping each other in our car club and our cars evolve into much more than just means of transportation. Dex and Michelle are great people, they definately deserve this.

So how about that paint job, Dex?

Hey congrats Dex,Now that you have the honor... you HAVE to give an update... oh yeah.. you know the rule too.. lol.. sorry but it had to be done.. I know y'all are getting ready to bundle in for the winter, but a few pics before hibernation would be cool..

and I have no room to talk.. i haven't touched mine since Sept.. but I know you're further along than I am.. Congrats again.. and keep up the good work..

but wait until you see the pics of the EG... muaaahhh... muuaahhhh.. turbo is going in and paint is getting done... along with a long line of other stuff.. sorry the vert is taking a break for a bit while the EG gets finished up... sorry to all the Honda haters out there, but fast is fast..

Oh don't worry, if you look in the project thread I have been presented with a little hostility from some fake punk drifter that no longer lives in Michigan, "Thank you!" The biggest thing that the vert needs at this moment is some body work and a fresh coat of paint. I being as pissed off as I am will provide the best of my abilities no questions asked. I am sure Dexter and Michelle are going to want a toned down version of what I have in mind, but we will meet somewhere in the middle.

just be careful, she's armed. i am too. so make sure you give us a heads up before you come popping in for a visit.

honestly, since we put the car up in september, i haven't done much with it. i've been working on other cars and trying to get at my dsm project. i did post an update on my thread to talk about a few things. i'll be diving back into it soon. i'm extremely busy at work though, so i've been putting in late hours and it's REALLY cold outside once the sun goes down. expect a good update at the beginning of next week.

/\ this is zach - good friend of mine, fellow tri-city evolution member, and a big nissan influence for michelle and i.

first, i didn't see lucas's post. it says he posted in my thread, but there's nothing there zach told me over the phone last night that it was mostly just taking a stab at zach's paint skills. i don't want to hear it.

second, i think the first thing the vert needs is a turbo-ka then some paint. then some coilovers. we probably can't get to paint until spring time now anyway. so, ka-t, here we come!

yeah.. i cleaned up the other thread. Since it's getting big time exposure right now, the last thing I want is some petty arguing and hating.
