Can you believe we've been around for 5 years?!!!

I know many of the members that post here have been on NICO even longer than that!

I was feeling a little nostalgic this evening, so I thought I'd go back in time and find the thread that started the whole convertible forum. Actually this thread began before there was a 'vert forum. AZHitman's idea and a couple of other guys seconding that motion was the start of it all.

zerothread?id=47969

I'm sure everyone who looks at that thread will call me for not counting very well (should be 5 1/2 years based on the thread dates)... The dates on that thread are incorrect. If my memory serves, it was August 04 when I picked my 'vert and my posts indicate that was going on at the time that thread was created. The 'vert forum came into being shortly after that. So without exact dates, I can say that the 'vert forum should be celebrating it's 5 year anniversary this month.

Just a little history for everyone...

Huh... and here I thought Seth did the RB swap himself...

$471 for a factory fresh boot? That's a bargain.

Nah.. I took the easy route.. I was quoted $600 for the install or $850 for shipping the car and another $350 to ship the motor. It just made sense to have it installed and then go pick it up.

In theory at least.. lol

what state did you buy your vert from?I'm just curious cause I know a guy out here in cali that sold his rb20'd vert back in 04, it would be a small world if it turned out to be your vert

I bought the car from a small used car dealer in Seattle, then had DDX pick it up and do the swap for me. At the time, I was only aware of 2 other RB20 swapped convertibles and 1 RB26 swap. If you're buddy already had a rb20 vert that he was selling.. he was way ahead of the curve.

btw.. your car is amazing! Love the body work.
