Confusion about cond. fan cooling

Ok, theres the stock oem fan thats under the shroud. Then there's the smaller cond. fan that you can see from the bumper. I know the cond. fan cuts on with the a/c, but its also supposed to cut on when the car is idling or reaches a certain temp?

If thats so, how does the cond. fan help cool the car off if its just blowing on the condenser?

Im asking, because I dont know how to wire my stock fan to cut on (its not working right now though with turning the a/c on or idling) with the ignition, or if I even need to, but I have NO idea how to do it. Im completely electric illiterate. I would need someone to mspaint it out for me...lol, or a very detailed explanation.

the fan still pulls air through the radiator... stagnant air=heat that doesnt move=bad.
