OKay, this may sound odd, but what is the difference between the injector color codes? I have a 90 q45, with 206k, and starting to have injector troubles.

Not an odd question at all.

If you got 200K out of your car on the original injectors, I'd like to hear a HALLELUJAH!

Your car has 370cc injectors - I'm not positive on the color codes (Wes will chime in), but if you're replacing one, replace them all.

Deatschwerks (our sponsor) can hook you up with a great deal on new one, or they can rebuild yours.

Also - Have you replaced the chain guides?

No, I have not replaced the guides, that was actually my next task, when this set of injectors dumped.... I have access to injectors for a 92 300zx and was curious of the color code definitions... I am looking for the 93 tcu also, to get rid of the second gear start.

Well, you're in the right place.

I'm thinking the Z32 injectors are the same, but let me get a second opinion from Wes (he should post by tomorrow morning).

Z32 injectors are the same as the Q as far as I know (because nissan doesnt like changing things)... 370cc's are the same in the Q, TTz, SR20, etc, etc..... I DO KNOW this for sure that the Z32s and the SR20s are the same because they have the same part number, however im thinking the Qs are the same but have DIFFERENT part numbers just because the Q is an infiniti and not a nissan... If ANYTHING the connectors may be different, but my thinking is they will plug right into the Q45 rail and harness, but I have no way of verifying that.

As far as the codes, there are different colors as you know, BUT there are also "no color" injectors for the 90-93. Generally whenever you replace them you replace them with the NO COLOR ones.. I think the difference was in the spray patterns especially for the 90-93 due to the siamesed ports. However its not that important...

im not sure if deatche works can bring dead injectors back to life (where they are closed or open circuts as read on VOM), but they can bring iffy injectors back to life.

Neither of you were CLEAR as the 370cc injectors are only found in the TURBO versions of 2 and 3 liter and the Q45.The versions for non turbo engines are 30-40% smaller.
