confused.. intermittant misfire on idle.

I took my engine up to 6500rpms for the first time in a long time yesterday, afterwards the car is idling oddly, but it seems like every 2 seconds the engine pops, and the rpms drop to around 500 or so.. It has never done this before. and has been perfect.. my guess is an intermittent misfire, i need to check the plugs, but i don't have any tools at my apt, only at my parents house. im hoping it is just the spark plugs..

I have read a lot of threads about coolant temp sensors being bad causes this similar problem... ill have to ohm it out and check..

didn't know if anyone had a similar problem. or new a solution..

Just tore everything apart, i cleaned the MAF, checked the plugs, wires resistance, cap/rotor blah blah.. EVERYTHING seemed ok.. Yesterday i installed a new MAF, and removed my resonator. thats it. it ran fine for about 10 minutes, i took it to redline, and thats when the problem started.

I think i fried my MSD box.. Its just a MSD-5, so i dont know if anything higher than 6000rpms (as listed on MSD's website) screwed it up.. I un-installed it, and now the car is working fine.

Ah ghey.. i have kinda the same problem but i dont have a MSD box.. and i can't figure it out. which cyclinder it is or what? just changed plugs like 2 weeks ago to NGK platniums
