Hey Y'all!

Well, Im gunna be honest, I dont know much about cars...especially my own...and I have a problem. People keep giving me different answers, so I thought maybe people on here might give me the right ones.

So I am moving to a state 800 miles away and about 12 hours driving...well, I kinda need my car to move with me. Its a 1987 Nissan Stanza...All I need to know is that will it be able to make it on the highway and what is the speed limit my car can go? Some people tell me it wont be able to keep up, others say it will be fine. I have taken good car of the car, so has the previous owner.

heres some info on the car:

fairly new clutch, new tires, new belts, tune-ups, oil changes...it has 124,000 miles on it.

so can anyone please help me?!

As long as you have kept up with the preventive and usual maintence, I don't see a problem. While cruising on the highway, be sure to keep a keen ear for any sounds that don't sound normal while at highway speeds.

I suggest, before you make your move, change the oil, if you haven't done the transmission fluid yet, might want to do that. Check your belts, check the tire pressure (to help with gas milage) and make sure your plug wires are in good shape.

Also, be sure to carry a small tool kit with you in case of an emergency.

By the way, where are you moving to?

And, also, welcome to NICO.

the car should have a tranverse CA20E.

should be fine...I'm not sure...but it probably has a speedlimiter around 105 anyway.

overheating kills anything.

just have the usual maintenance before having a long drive. And tune-up your car for the long drive and for sure it will be able to drive you on our new place.
