Im new to the Ka/240 world, so please excuse me if this is a stupid question. I bought this car from a friend its an 89 so obviously it was stock with a ka24e in it. He told me he had done the dual exhaust cam swap in it, and it has the valve cover is the de cover etc. etc. I am building this motor for a turbo set up and I was confused about a couple of things when researching. Almost all people say this a kae to a kade swap is a full motor swap, and not just from the head because of oil ports etc. but im almost positive this motor is not a full swap, is there another way to do the dual cam swap? If it is possible on the kae block this would mean that it still has high comp. pistons at 11:1 or whatever the kae pistons are right? and when purchasing parts i.e engine gaskets I would need to purchase ka24e parts, and not ka24de aside from exhaust parts obviously. Also, I would love a list of interchangeable parts like pistons, rods, head bolts, really anything to help with my build.
