I think gabby said awhile back that you could change out the main/rod bearings with the engine still in the car. Anyone confirm this? Thanks

Pull the engine, dude! You can't access all the mains with the engine in the car. I've done it on my FWD applications, but the main bearings are a Bee with an itch to change. It's no fun, time consuming and is the worst short cut to try with this engine.

No problem, man. And take your time when you're doing the work as well.

You can do it in a weekend if you focus on the task at hand. And please for the love of god, don't drink and wrench or your engine will be the fatality .

I drink while working on my car all the time, thank you.

But yeah, I'll be doing a similar job this weekend. Just know that somewhere, there will be a fellow CA owner, drunk, working on the bottom end of his engine. Oh, and I'll be doing some welding too, so yeah, drunk welding.
