Hey everyone, I brought a non running Z not too long ago zerothread?id=107958. Finally had time to work on it and Im pretty sure I need a new engine(rod). Here is my question, should I just cut my losses and sell it or try to get another engine. How much am I looking at? Im in an apartment and don't have the room to do this my self and the engine price vary so much depending where I look. I am guess ballpark $2k? I know most of you will tell me to fix it, but with the money I will spent I can get one that's running... Grr... If anyone knows a good/cheap shop around Portland that I can get an estimate that would help me out alot too.

you might check with your local ZCar club, someone there would be able to put you in touch with a shop capable of handling it if not a fellow member, it's kinda hard to sell a non running car so I'm gonna guess you'd be better off to fix it and at that point you may as well keep it

get a new engine. you will then have a nice Z32 and have a really nice engine in there
