What's up folks, definitely new to posting, I've been lucky enough to find all my info needed here, but can't quite find what I need this time.

I have an 03 xterra 3.3l 4x2 automatic, but i have been getting a CEL for evap codes, and two knock sensors. I know the knock sensor codes won't trigger the cel, but I have a confirmed p0455 , and both knock sensor codes, with no cel light. I kept trying to troubleshoot the p0455, and clear the code, complete my drive cycle and the light/code would come back on. I've replaced some evap hoses, cleared the ecu and now the cel light is off, but the p0455 came back after completed drive cycle. I basically want to know if I actually fixed the issue and if I can pass inspection? Or is something up

Thanks for the guidance

Welcome to NICO!

Another member of ours had a similar issue on the same year vehicle, but he ended up selling it before resolving the problem.
Passing inspection varies state to state, but usually if your CEL is on, you don't pass. Have you tried replacing the knock sensors yet?

As an alternative, Here at NICO, we have Factory Service Manuals available free to members. Take a peek at the link in my signature and find the FSM for your car and you'll have all the info you'll ever need to make the repair and research some other options.

Sweet, thanks for the service manual link. I have yet to replace the knock sensors. I did find a leak in an egr tube and replaced it, and now both codes egr/evap codes have disappeared an no check engine. Hopefully it lasts

Nice! Sounds like you resolved the issue.
Thanks for posting back with your solution. It goes a long way to helping others with a similar problem.
