I'm about to begin building an RB25DET NEO. It can be quite difficult to find a direct answer on forums/online for info on the NEO6 motor as you know so I wanted to confirm/check on a few parts.
As far as hardware I'd use: ARP Main and Head Studs that are all the same on RB20-26 motors, and for the rod studs I'd use the RB25/26 Specific studs because the NEO's use the same connecting rods as RB26's. I have that correct???
For rod bearings if I choose ACL I would need the RB26 bearings *again same rods*, but for the main bearings (crank) would I go with the 25 or 26? (Raw Brokerage's site lists Cosworth main bearings as 25/26 (same part) but ACL lists RB20/25/30 (separate part #'s) but no RB26 tho I;m sure I can find them elsewhere)
Now I know NEO pistons are different then normal 25's but I haven't read any info about what rings I would go with, any recommended parts/interchangeable RB rings that I could use would be appreciated. I will only be honing my cylinder walls and using whatever the stock size is.
Thanks in advance for any help you can give me! I've been researching alot and have been trying to wait before I started asking questions lol.
Tim
I'll post back with a few more questions later I'm sure. I email Raw Brokerage but no reply as of yet
